Meet Melissa

If you’ve ever been told you’re “too much.” If someone met you and thought you were… let’s politely call it “intense.” If you’ve got RBF and people assume you’re judging them when you’re actually just replaying that awkward thing you said two days ago, welcome. You’re my people.

I’m Melissa. A creator, mom, wife, dog mom, sister, aunt, daughter, friend, and entrepreneur with a heart that insists on leading the way even when my face sends a completely different memo. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, which finally helped me understand why my brain functions like a nonstop idea generator that refuses to slow down. What others once labeled “too much” has become something I genuinely appreciate about myself.

Right now I’m working toward my doctorate, building a life with my husband, cheering on my 23-year-old as he navigates adulthood, and sharing a home with a dog who is absolutely convinced he’s in charge. My life is full, sometimes messy, always meaningful, and grounded in real connection.

This space is where all of that comes together. Warm. Human. Heart-led.

My Values & How I live

I believe in gentle growth, honest conversations, and choosing softness in a world that often pushes hardness.
I believe in the beauty of becoming, at any age, in any season.
I believe in family evolving with us, in love that grows deeper, and in the quiet courage it takes to keep showing up as yourself.

Being late-diagnosed with ADHD didn’t change who I was, it helped me understand myself. It made sense of the creativity, the depth, the intuition, the non-linear thinking, and the way I feel things intensely. It gave me language for the strengths I’d been carrying all along.

My World

Life
Moments of growth, reflection, and the real stories that shape who I’m becoming in my forties.

Family
Navigating marriage, making memories with a grown child & his wife, and embracing the evolving dynamic of adult relationships.

Dog Mom Life
Because nothing brings daily joy and grounding quite like a four-legged shadow who thinks you hung the moon.

Entrepreneurship
Building something meaningful with heart, intention, and a mind that works a little differently, and honestly, that’s my superpower.

Education
Working on my doctorate is a huge part of my life right now. It’s challenging, exciting, and proof that you’re never too old or too busy to grow into the next version of yourself.

A Note From Me

I’m so glad you’re here.
This space isn’t about perfection. It’s about truth, connection, and the kind of everyday growth that feels gentle and real. I hope you find stories that comfort you, moments that make you feel seen, and pieces of yourself reflected back.

Thank you for stepping into my world. This website, and my socials are a work in progress, like my life.
Let’s keep growing, with heart.
